Even after all these years it still boggles my mind that the Enchanted Ember is technically available at the beginning of the game (as soon as you reach Andre, or immediately if you have master key) while the Large Magic Ember is gated behind a Lord boss or whatever they're called which you can't engage until halfway through the game, considering that the two embers are technically equivalent. Magic path is only slightly better for 'physical' int (buff)builds while Enchanted is slightly better for high-int sorcery builds.

I do really love the BL3 Hunters, definitely the shining spot of the story, can’t wait for them to return

If what the lore hints at is true, the reason Anri of Astora is even there at the ending is because they are a child of Rosaria, Mother of Rebirth. By killing them, Anri was reborn in this new world, likely no longer burden by their memories of Aldrich, who could have been their father since the lore bluntly states what he did to Rosaria and why she had so many children. I know most think Anri was an orphan, but it's more likely they had no idea of their linage. Now the marriage to the Lord of Shades makes sense: they and the Lord of Shades are the start of a new line of Gwyn without the burden of the Age of Fire.

Fuck this puzzle is so bad. Difficulty is one thing but having to have the lifts PERFECTLY raised to make the jump, and all the runs back down to fiddle with it because it was slightly too low really really made me notice how horrible the movement/jumping is in this game. The animations are far slower than the inputs.

I remember how controversial that "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" line was when the game first came out. Bungie may have been a little too reticent with details at launch. It felt like ages before they were able to flesh out the world and characters to the level players were hoping for.
